Performance Monitor
Consider the following for Performance Monitor:

Performance Monitor can be used to display the monitoring information about the external
volumes.
•
Mapped volumes can be used for Auto LUN. For a configuration example of Auto LUN, see

Continuous Access Synchronous and Continuous Access Synchronous Z
Mapped volumes can be used for Continuous Access Synchronous and for Continuous Access
Synchronous Z. For a configuration example of Continuous Access Synchronous, see

Continuous Access Journal and Continuous Access Journal Z
Mapped volumes can be used for Continuous Access Journal and Continuous Access Journal Z.

Business Copy and Business Copy Z
Mapped volumes can be used for Business Copy and Business Copy Z. For a configuration example

Snapshot
Mapped volumes can be used for Snapshot. Consider the following for Snapshot:
•
Both internal and external volumes cannot be mixed in one pool.
•
All external volumes in the same pool must be in the same Cache Mode.
•
All external volumes in the same pool should also be of the same drive type and protection
level on the external storage system.

Thin Provisioning
Mapped volumes can be used for Thin Provisioning. Consider the following for Thin Provisioning:
•
Both internal and external volumes cannot be mixed in one pool.
•
All external volumes in the same pool must be in the same Cache Mode.
•
All external volumes in the same pool should also be of the same drive type and protection
level on the external storage system.
SNMP Agent
Consider the following for SNMP Agent:
•
The information on the mapped external volume is displayed.
•
The information on the External port is displayed.
