Write Protection
Write Protection
To prevent accidental erasure of your data, each media cartridge has a write-protect
switch. When active, this switch prevents data from being written to the cartridge.
To enable write-protection, move the switch on the front of the cartridge down, so that
the small orange rectangle appears.
To disable write-protection, move the switch up so that the orange rectangle is not
visible.
When a write-protected cartridge is inserted into the drive, the yellow Write Protect
LED on the panel lights.
Loading and Unloading Tapes
The Load/Unload menu enables you to specify a source and a destination for a cartridge
movement. As a result, the procedure to load is the same for unloading. To load or
unload a tape from the front panel of the module, use the Load/Unload menus as shown
in
.
