Depending on the software installed, links are available to launch HP tools.
Host Overview page
The top of the Host Overview page shows:
•
At the top left of the page, a consolidated status displays, which is determined by aggregating
all status information for the host. Moving your cursor over the status icon shows a list of the
icon meanings.
For details about the status of the components, click More at the bottom of the status icon list
(.Net client only).
•
The name and a brief description of the selected host.
•
A Tasks icon. Moving your cursor over the Tasks icon shows a list of tasks currently being
performed. To monitor long-running tasks, click More at the bottom of the Tasks list.
•
A Navigation drop-down list used to display different views and level of detail (vSphere Client
only). Overview is the default.
•
An Actions drop-down list that you use to perform actions on the server/host. For example,
you can select a host and then use the Actions list to initiate provisioning operations.
•
A Settings icon
that you use to modify configuration settings.
•
A help ? icon used to display online help.
•
A page reload icon
that you can click to refresh the data displayed.
•
A row of navigation buttons used to display different views and level of detail (vSphere Web
Client only).

The bottom of the HP Insight Management pages shows:

Links to launch HP tools if applicable.

If you are using the vSphere Web Client, links that appear to be transparent indicate
that the tool is inaccessible or that no data is available.

User name (vSphere Client only).
The main section in the host Overview page shows multiple boxes called portlets that provide
summary information about the selected host. The portlets that appear can vary based on your
configuration. Host Overview page portlets include:
