2. Hang System-2001™ with four screws
3. Make sure all power supplies are disconnected before breaking any wires, or reaching into the

enclosure.

4. Open System 2001™, and find all connections.
5. Run sensors out to locations inside the house. (OSC sensor should be installed outside the house.)

Be sure that the sensors are in a safe location, free from any temperature influences (direct
sunlight, water, etc.) Use care when securing sensor wires so that you do not cut the wire, Any
short, or break in the wire will cause improper sensor operation.

6. Connect each sensor to its appropriate terminals inside the enclosure. (See wiring diagrams in

the back of this manual.)

7. Connect wires from stage terminals to the contactor panel, or relay box. See wiring diagrams for

locations of terminals.

8. Hookup three wire connections from System 2001™ board to curtain machines’

PVR-H’s. See wiring diagrams for locations of terminals.

7.1 The Controller Facepad

All system functions are carried out from the facepad. The facepad contains nineteen (19) pressure
sensitive regions. These are in the shape of red squares and arrows. The functions of the buttons are
as follows:

Close: Manually controls the circuits that close the curtains.

Off: Prevent the curtain from moving, or stop curtain motion from occurring.

Open: Manually controls the circuits that open the curtains.

Auto On: This button is used to give control of the curtains over to the controller, or to exit out
of program features.

Target Temperature Up or Down arrows: Adjusts the Target Temperature in one degree
increments up or down.

Display Outside Temperature: Shows the temperature read by the outside sensor. Also used in
hiding features.

Power Unit #1 and #2: Used to turn on or off individual power units.

Outside Sensor Control on and off: Enables and Disables the Outside Sensor Control (OSC)
mechanism.

OSC High up and down: Sets the temperature at which the controller will automatically enter
Tunnel Mode.

OSC Low up and down: Sets the temperature below which the controller will not allow the
curtains to open.

Select Feature Up and Down: Used to move from one feature to another.

Change Setting Up and Down: Used to adjust setpoints, or answer yes or no to a question asked
by the controller.

7.2 Programming Basics

The system uses a “Menu Driven” program. To you this means that just like choosing items at a
restaurant you just look down through the program and pick the options you want.
To move around in the menu, you need to use the “Select Feature” up or down arrow keys, and to
change options you use the “Change Setting” up or down arrow keys.
For example if you wanted to change the system timer from a ten minute timer to a five minute timer,
you would keep pressing the select feature up arrow key until the words “Timer Period” appeared in
the left hand display. Then you should use the change setting down arrow key to change the number
in the right hand display from a ten (10) to a five (5).
