14.7 Initializing the Controller
Initializing the controller means returning the controllers programming to the original factory
settings. If you are having trouble with the controller and think it might be in the programming, you
can re initialize the controller by following this procedure.

1. Cut power to the unit.
2. Re-apply power to the unit.
3. While the controller is starting up, the controller will darken all segments of the screen. (The
screen will look like several black squares.) When this happens, press and hold down the
Change Setting up key with the Select Feature down key, and the manual close key. Keep
holding both keys until the word "Init." appears, then release.
4. The controller will then be re-initialized and ready to operate in a few seconds.
5. IMPORTANT!! Always "Zero out" the controller after initializing to ensure that the power
unit counters are accurate. If the counters are not reading the right position, it could cause
improper operation. To Zero out the controller, press manual close and let the curtain fully
close. The controller will stop motion when the curtain is closed. The controller will pause
for about seven seconds while resetting.
6. You will need to reprogram the controller now, making sure that all questions are answered
accurately, and re-calibrate sensors if
necessary.
