Heat Mode: The method of heating the building; only operates when the curtains
are in the closed position and the building temperature is below target
temp.
Inches of Initial Drop: The amount, in inches, the curtains will drop to provide ease of
movement and adequate ventilation. The curtains will never stop
inside this range.
Level: A selected program can be saved, then restored and used at a future
date.
Light Strip Control: The providing of natural light to Breeder Pullets using a narrow strip
of clear curtain.
Manual Mode: Raising or lowering curtains manually, The System will not
automatically move the curtains if they are in Manual Mode.
Menu: A list of options pertaining to a particular Program Feature.
Negative Ventilation: The action of air being drawn out of the building by the use of fans.
Inlet openings are restricted so as to cause a defined Negative Static
Pressure Differential between the inside and outside the building.
Nite Vent Program: The use of natural ventilation by the lowering of the curtains at night
while growing blackout Breeder Pullets.
Offset: The distance in degrees below or above target temperature when the
heat or cool stage will disengage.
Outside Sensor: An instrument used to measure the temperature outside the building.
Outside Sensor Control
High Differential: The distance in degrees below the Outside Sensor Control High limit
that, when reached, causes The System to exit Tunnel Mode and
return to the previous Mode.
Positive Ventilation: Pushing air into the center of the building and circulating the air with
stir fans.
Power Unit: A device used to control curtain movement. The System can control up
to two Power Units Independently.
Program Stages: An eight-step process that determines the operation of The System so
that it will produce the desired outcome.
Program: A selected plan of operations to be carried out by The System's
computer.
Ramp Function: The function that automatically reduces temperature on a day to day
basis.
