Displaying event log status
You can display the current status of the event log as shown in the following.
Virtual ADX#show eventlog
Event Log is enabled
Event Log MAX specified size is 32 MB
Event Log Size is - 2MB
Event Log Size (BP0) is - 2MB
Syntax: show eventlog
The contents of the display are defined in the following table.
Clearing the event log
You can clear the event log as shown in the following.
Virtual ADX#clear eventlog
Syntax: clear eventlog

Activating or deactivating daylight savings time
To automatically activate and deactivate daylight savings time for the relevant time zones, enter the
following command.
Virtual ADX(config)#clock summer-time
Syntax: [no] clock summer-time
Setting the time zone
To define the time zone of the clock, enter a command such as the following.
Virtual ADX(config)#clock timezone us eastern
Syntax: [no] clock timezone gmt | us time-zone

Field Description
Event Log is Displays whether the eventlog is currently enabled.
Event Log MAX
specified size is The maximum size of the event log as currently configured. By default this
value is 32MB. Once the maximum log size is reached, the log file is
overwritten.
Event Log Size is The current size of each event log file (/opt/ADX/eventlog-* file).
