Executing configuration synchronization

• The openscript keyword refers to all OpenScript files.
Incremental configuration synchronization
Perform an incremental configuration synchronization.
1. Update the sender device with the required changes.
2. Issue the write memory command on the sender device to synchronize the incremental
changes to the receiver device. The write memory command implicitly triggers the incremental
configuration synchronization operation.
Force full synchronization operation
The config-sync full force command disregards compatibility checks such as image, hardware, and
license between the sender device and the receiver device and performs a force full
synchronization operation.
Syntax: config-sync full force
Monitoring the progress of configuration synchronization
The output of the show config-sync progress displays the actual number of files transferred to the
peer, or the total number of files to transfer, and the percentage of progress of the configuration
synchronization process.
Virtual ADX-sender(config)# show config-sync progress
File sync progress: 6/10
Command sync progress: 55%
This command is provisioned at any point between a full or incremental synchronization. The
command is provisioned only on the sender device.
Syntax: show config-sync progress
Displaying the configuration synchronization status
Display the configuration synchronization status on the device in the Enable mode.
The following example shows the sender device and receiver device out of synchronization.
Virtual ADX# show config-sync status
Collecting config-sync status from peer device; please wait..
Virtual ADX#Sender and Receiver/peer devices are out of sync
Config-sync operation not performed since last reload.
The following example shows the sender device and the receiver device in synchronization.
Virtual ADX(config)# show config-sync status
Collecting config-sync status from peer device; please wait..
Virtual ADX#Sender and Receiver/peer devices are in complete sync
Time elapsed since last config-sync with peer= 10 (minutes)
