Saving tech support information to a file

Virtual ADX#

Syntax: save tech-support text | html file-name

The text parameter specifies that the technical support information be saved as a plain text file.

The html parameter specifies that the technical support information be saved in HTML format.

The file-name variable specifies the name of the file that the technical support information will be
saved to.

NOTE

A typical output file is greater than 10 MB in size and can be much larger if there are many core
dumps (either MPs or BPs) located in the /opt/ADX/log directory. The Brocade Virtual ADX supports
a maximum of two MP (core-mp) and two BP (core-bp) core dump files. For more information on core
dumps, refer to the

“Accessing core dumps”

section.
