Displaying system information

To view the software and hardware details for the system, enter the following command.

Syntax: show version

Displaying memory information

To display memory information, enter the following command.

Syntax: show memory

The fields for this command are as follows:

The Total memory field displays the physical memory available within the Brocade Virtual ADX
VM.

The Used memory field is the physical memory actively used by the MP or BP (resident
memory). You can use the Used memory information to check for memory leaks within the
Brocade Virtual ADX application.

NOTE

The total used memory may be more than the Total Usable Memory minus the Available Memory.
This is standard Linux behavior where shared memory is accounted for multiple processes that are
sharing the memory. As a result, the used memory is double accounted and hence the discrepancy.
Use the Available memory field to determine the health of the system.

Displaying CPU utilization

The show cpu-utilization command displays CPU utilization for the BP and MP within the previous
300 seconds or the last reset of counters within the previous 300 seconds.

Virtual ADX#show cpu-utilization

Per process utilization:

MP : last sec: 0.20%, 5 sec: 0.25%, 60 sec: 0.23%, 300 sec: 0.23%

BP 1: last sec: 0.20%, 5 sec: 0.10%, 60 sec: 0.09%, 300 sec: 0.08%
