Debugging the configuration synchronization
To debug the configuration synchronization, in privileged EXEC mode, use the debug config-sync
command.
Virtual ADX# debug config-sync critical
Syntax: debug conf-sync [critical | debug |error | information | warning]
•
The critical keyword logs critical and high-severity messages.
•
The debug keyword logs debug and high-severity messages.
•
The error keyword logs errors and high severity messages.
•
The information keyword logs informational and high severity messages.
•
The warning keyword logs warnings and high severity messages.
During the configuration synchronization process, the failed commands consolidate on the receiver
device. After the configuration synchronization process is complete, the list of failed commands is
relayed to the sender device as part of the peer message.
On the receiver device during the configuration synchronization process, the noncritical messages,
such as the information messages, are filtered out and are not sent to the sender device. Syslogs
are generated for the messages on the sender device and the receiver devices.
