NOTE
The si-name command also has an optional parameter that specifies the ADX device’s preference.
This parameter is not related to the distributed health check feature.
Enabling the distributed health check feature for an individual site ADX device
You can enable the distributed health check feature for an individual site ADX device. Enter the
commands such as the following on the GSLB Brocade Virtual ADX, not on the site ADX device.
GSLB-Virtual ADX(config)#gslb site sunnyvale
GSLB-Virtual ADX(config-gslb-site-sunnyvale)#si-name abc 10.1.1.107
enable-si-dist-health-check
Syntax: [no] si-name [name] ip-addr enable-si-dist-health-check
Disabling or re-enabling distributed health check
You can disable the distributed health check feature for an entire GSLB site. When you do this, it
applies to all the site ADX devices at that site. Note that if there is a configuration to enable or
disable the distributed health check feature on an individual site ADX device (Refer to
“Disabling
the distributed health check feature for an individual site ADX device” on page 77 and “Enabling
the distributed health check feature for an individual site ADX device” on page 78), the
configuration on the individual ADX device takes effect for that site ADX device and overrides the
site configuration for that site ADX device
To disable distributed health checks for a site, enter commands such as the following. Enter the
commands on the GSLB Brocade Virtual ADX, not on the site ADX device.
GSLB-Virtual ADX(config)#gslb site sunnyvale
GSLB-Virtual ADX(config-gslb-site-sunnyvale)#no-distributed-health-check
Syntax: [no] no-distributed-health-check
To re-enable distributed health checks for the site, enter the following command.
GSLB-Virtual ADX(config-gslb-site-sunnyvale)#no no-distributed-health-check
Clearing the distributed health check settings for a site ADX device
You can clear the distributed health check settings for a site ADX device. When you clear the
settings, the site ADX device inherits the settings configured for the site itself. (Refer to
“Disabling
or re-enabling distributed health check” on page 78.) If you have not configured distributed health
check settings for the site, then the distributed health check feature is enabled for the site ADX
device. This is the default setting for the feature.
To clear the distributed health check settings from a site ADX device, enter commands such as the
following on the GSLB ADX device, not on the site ADX device.
GSLB-Virtual ADX(config)#gslb site sunnyvale
GSLB-Virtual ADX(config-gslb-site-sunnyvale)#si-name 10.1.1.107
