Encoder open error
After Start of
Operation
Is there a broken cable?
Check if breakage occurred in the cable track or
at the extension cable.
[1] If you have an encoder cable in a
replacement cable track, try swapping the
encoder cables.
(In the case of a double-slider system, try
swapping the encoder cables in the left and
right cable tracks. If the location of the
encoder open error changes from the left to
right, or vice versa, the applicable cable is
broken.)
[2] If you have a replacement encoder extension
cable, try swapping the extension cables.
(In the case of a double-slider system, try
swapping the left and right encoder extension
cables. If the location of the encoder open
error changes from the left to right, or vice
versa, the applicable cable is broken.)

Is the controller faulty?
If you have a replacement controller, tray
swapping the controllers.
Wipe the linear scale using a dry cloth and
alcohol.
[Refer to 14, “Linear Scale Cleaning
Procedure.”] Is dirt, etc., attached on the
linear scale?
If the problem has not yet been
