6.1.2 Communication & Tools
A small software program is required on the Back Office system, arranging the
communication between the Discovery terminal(s) and the product information
file (e.g. Price Look Up file). This program will be supplied by the Scantech
Distributor. Scantech supplies U-Start, the easy to use configuration- and demo-
tool (Windows based) for the Discovery/Ethernet. Featuring: editing the
standard messages, icons and images (bitmaps), demo with bar codes, setting
the IP address of the individual terminal, firmware upload etc. See Discovery
