Security Functions
The omni provides security functions that may be enabled to prevent
unauthorized connections. Two types of security functions are
provided.
Security Types and Levels
Type 1 security is to be used when the remote TA is a ZyXEL ISDN
TA.
Type 2 security is to be used with non-ZyXEL remote TA’s.
With a Type 1 connection, the dial-in (remote) TA will send in its
supervisor password for matching with the local omni’s pre-stored
password list. With a Type 2 connection, the remote terminal will be
prompted to enter the password at the initial connection and the local
omni will match the entered password with the pre-stored password
list.
