Taking Still Pictures Using the A Button while Recording Movie
By using the A button, you can take a still picture while continuing
to record a movie.

Press the A button quickly while
recording a movie.
The camera switches to A mode while
recording continues.
The movie recording time appears on the
A
mode screen.
Refer to “Taking Pictures” (p.53) for details
of how to take still pictures.

Press the shutter release button
fully.
The picture is taken.
Recording continues after the picture has been taken.
Taking Still Pictures Using the Quick Menu while Recording
Movie
You can take a still picture quickly while recording a movie by using
the quick menu.

Press the center button while recording a movie.
The quick menu appears while recording continues.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to select [Take Still image] and
press the center button.
The still picture is taken. After the picture
has been taken, the camera returns to
movie recording status.
