Use the quick menu to record a voice memo while in still picture capture
mode. You can continue taking pictures while recording the voice memo.

Press the center button in A mode.
The quick menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to select [O( Start] and press
the center button.
The camera returns to A mode and
recording starts.
Continue taking pictures while recording.
To finish recording, press the center button
again to display the quick menu. Select [O( Stop] and press the
center button.
