You can adjust the brightness of the LCD monitor.

Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Brightness
Level].

Use the four-way controller (45)
to adjust the brightness.
The monitor gets darker as the bar slider
moves to the left and brighter as it moves to
the right.

Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The Brightness Level setting is saved and the camera returns to
capture status. Refer to Step 6 of “How to Use the Menus” (p.45) for
other operations after the setting has been made.
