The
keyboard
The unit’s keyboard is laid out in a standard format, much
the same as on a typewriter or computer.

necessary to press any other key.

Functions in blue above a key, such as HELP, can be
accessed by pressing the key after

There is no need to hold down
while you press
the other key.

also be entered on the unit using

Display
symbols
The following symbols appear at the top of the screen
indicating various operating conditions.
The operating batteries are weak and need
to be replaced (see p. 302).
CARD
An IC card is currently being used.
EDIT
The current entry is in the Edit mode.
