Error Codes and How to Handle Them
When an error occurs in the GT series, an error code displays at the top right of the
screen. There are two types of error codes:

GT Series Error Codes
When connected to a FP series PLC
The following three types of error codes are displayed when there is an error in the GT
main unit:

Cause and solution
FF
Time up error
No response from the PLC.
1) The PLC connection cable is disconnected. Check the connection
cable to make sure it is connected.
2) There is a temporary error due to noise, etc. Re–supply power to the
PLC and GT main unit.

Data error
A data error occurred dur-
ing communication.
1) An error exists in the communication condition settings. Check the
PLC and GT main unit communication speed and transfer format.
2) There is a temporary error due to noise, etc. Re–supply power to the
PLC and GT main unit.

Overrun error
The GT main unit cannot
receive data.
The reception buffer in the GT main unit is overflowing.
There could be an error in the PLC.
Re–supply power to the PLC and GT main unit.
When connected to a PLC (FX) series made by Mitsubishi Electric
The following four types of error codes are displayed when there is an error in the GT
main unit:
