If you wish to store the entry in an alternate location,

Again, if you prefer, you can enter

place the information in the first available location of
your phone book. Or you can enter the first digit of the
memory location (the ‘decade’), followed by

will place the information in the first available location
of the requested decade.
The phone will confirm the information is now held in
the new location.
In addition to storing simple telephone numbers in
your Phone Book as indicated above, you may also
use pauses to link memory locations to allow your
cellular phone to call a number and then wait for
appropriate requests before transmitting DTMF tone
information. This functionality can be especially useful
for accessing Voice Mail systems, banking via phone,
accessing credit card information, etc.
By including pauses between linked memory locations
you can have your phone dial a telephone number
and then wait for your response before continuing to
transmit.
