connector into the connector slot on your phone. You
will hear a click which indicates that the connection
has been properly made. Plug the Ultra Saver II into
the vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket.
Your phone will now be powered by the vehicle’s
battery rather than the telephone battery. The green
LED on the Ultra Saver II lights to indicate the proper
connection has been made and charging can occur.
To remove the Ultra Saver II from the phone, use one
of the following methods:
To use the standard method, turn off the
telephone, then squeeze both sizes of the Ultra
Saver II connector until the tabs release. Then
remove the connector from the bottom of the
phone.
The quick change method allows you to unplug
the Ultra Saver II from the phone during a
telephone call without losing the call. Unplug the
connector from the phone by squeezing both
sides until the tabs release, then press
∏
immediately. This will return you to your
telephone call. The phone will not go through the
normal power-up cycle. See Start-Up Self Tests
on page 19 for more information. You must have
a battery attached and will have only three
seconds to complete this action before your call
is terminated. It is recommended that you advise
the party on the other end of the call before
beginning this procedure.
The optional small, compact and lightweight DPC
Travel Charger can charge any size MICRO T•A•C
ELITE battery. For nickel cadmium or nickel metal
hydride, the standard batteries will recharge in
approximately 5 hours or less, the larger batteries in
Travel Charger
