E•P Batteries
Motorola’s new E•P batteries, for “Expert
Performance,” represent the latest in battery charging
capabilities. Matching a Motorola E•P battery (whether
nickel cadmium, nickel metal hydride, or lithium ion)
with a Motorola E•P charger helps to achieve both
optimal charge capacity and battery life (number of
charge/discharge cycles) for your battery.
Lithium Ion Batteries
Motorola’s lithium ion batteries are high energy
density batteries which offer increased capacity and
are lighter in weight than nickel cadmium and nickel
metal hydride batteries of equivalent capacity. Your
new lithium ion battery is also a new E•P battery. To
help achieve maximum life and capacity of your new
lithium ion battery, use a Motorola E•P charger, such
as the new IntelliCharge E•P. Charging a lithium ion
E•P battery in another Motorola charger may not fully
charge your lithium ion battery.
Nickel Metal Hydride Batteries
Your phone package may have included a nickel metal
hydride battery. Nickel metal hydride batteries are high
capacity batteries which offer up to 30% more talk time
than comparable nickel cadmium batteries. Several
sizes and capacities are available. To help achieve
maximum life and capacity of your new nickel metal
hydride battery, it is suggested that you charge with
Motorola approved chargers, and do not leave the
battery in the charger for more than 24 hours.
