Instructions for connecting/disconnecting
cables

CAUTION!
Please make sure you read the documentation for the devices before
you try to connect them.
Do not connect or disconnect any data transmission cables during a
thunderstorm.
Always pull cables out by the plug.
When connecting and disconnecting the cables, observe the following
order.
Connecting cables
Ê
Switch off all the relevant devices.
Ê
Unplug the power plugs of all affected devices from the power outlets or CEE
sockets.
Ê
Connect all cables to the server and the peripherals. Secure the connectors
of the data cables (e.g. by tightening the screws).
Ê
Plug all data transmission cables into the sockets provided for the data or
telecommunication networks.
Ê
Plug all the power plugs into the power outlets or CEE sockets.
Disconnecting cables
Ê
Switch off all the relevant devices.
Ê
Unplug the power plugs of all affected devices from the power outlets or CEE
sockets.
Ê
Pull all data transmission cables out of the sockets provided for the data or
telecommunication networks.
Ê
Undo the screws on the connectors and pull the relevant cables out of the
system unit and peripherals.
