Fitting rules for power supply units and fan
modules

I

The information in this section apply to both standard PSUs and
HE PSUs.

In the minimum configuration, bays PSU 3, PSU 2 and PSU 6 are fitted with
power supply units. The remaining bays are free.

Depending on the system unit configuration, the remaining bays must be fitted
with further power supply units or with fan modules. Make sure you observe the
following order: PSU 5 – PSU 1 – PSU 4. The required number of power supply
units and fan modules depends on the configuration, number and types of
installed server blades, the available mains voltage and the redundant power
supply requirements. The following table shows the mutual dependencies.
