Transmissions is delayed because the medium was busy.
• Late Collision
The number of times that a collision is detected later than 512 bit-times into the
transmission of a packet.
• Excessive Collision
A count of frames for which transmission on a particular interface fails due to
excessive collisions. This counter does not increment when the interface is
operating in full-duplex mode.
• Frame Too Longs
A count of frames received on a particular interface that exceed the maximum
permitted frame size.
• Symbol Errors
The number of received and transmitted symbol errors.
• Control In Unknow
Opcodes
The number of received control unknown opcodes
• In Pause Frames The number of received pause frames
• Out Pause Frames The number of transmitted pause frames
RMON Counters:
Object Description
• Drop Events
The total number of events in which packets were dropped due to lack of
resources.
• Octets
The total number of octets received and transmitted on the interface, including
framing characters.
• Packets
The total number of packets received and transmitted on the interface.
• Broadcast Packets
The total number of good frames received that were directed to the broadcast
address. Note that this does not include multicast packets.
• Multicast Packets The total number of good frames received that were directed to this multicast
address.
• CRC / Alignment
Errors
The number of CRC/alignment errors (FCS or alignment errors).
• Undersize Packets The total number of frames received that were less than 64 octets long(excluding
framing bits, but including FCS octets) and were otherwise well formed.
• Oversize Packets
The total number of frames received that were longer than 1518 octets(excluding
framing bits, but including FCS octets) and were otherwise well formed.
• Fragments The total number of frames received that were less than 64 octets in length
(excluding framing bits, but including FCS octets) and had either an FCS or
alignment error.
• Jabbers
The total number of frames received that were longer than 1518 octets(excluding
framing bits, but including FCS octets), and had either an FCS or alignment error.
