Replace the toner cartridge only when "ADD TONER TO RESUME COPYING" is
displayed.
* Touch the "?" key to display the toner cartridge replacement procedure on the
touch panel.

REPLACING THE TONER CARTRIDGE
1. Open the front cover. Turn the toner cartridge release lever leftward as far as it
will go. The old cartridge will be released.
2. Raise the old cartridge up slightly and pull it out towards you.
3. Hold the new cartridge horizontally, and shake it up and down 3-5 times, turning
it over each time.
4. Similarly, shake the new cartridge from side to side 5-7 times, turning it over
each time.
5. Fit the new cartridge into the copier to align the 2 arrows on new toner cartridge
and the 2 marks on the cartridge port.
6. Tip the cartridge release lever to the right. The new cartridge will be clamped.
* Check that the 2 marks on the front of the toner cartridge are aligned with the 2
marks on the cartridge port.
7. Close the front cover.
CAUTION
Do not incinerate toner and toner containers. Dangerous sparks may
cause burn.
