{Location}: Physical location of the storage device
{Capacity (F/T)}: Capacity of the storage device (T: Total; F: Free)
{Status (HW/SW)}: Status of the storage device (HW/SW; SW: Software; HW: Hardware)
Three software status types
- Active: Connected to the DVR; the storage device is currently recording
- Online: Connected to the DVR, but the storage device is not recording
- Offline: Not connected to the DVR
Three hardware status types
- Healthy: Connected to the DVR; the storage device is recording normally
- Warning: Connected to the DVR, but an error has occurred; in this state, recording may
fail (for more information, see the warning below)
- Fault: Not connected to the DVR, possible hardware damage; in this state, the storage
device cannot operate
1.
Fault state: The storage device is damaged and unable to function properly.
Fault state is not related to DVR troubles. The DVR detects errors in the storage
device and stops recording.
2.
Warning state: The storage device has a physical error that can be corrected
by the storage device or DVR. Failure to repair the error may damage the
storage device (and cause it to shift to fault state). In this case, backing up the
data in the corresponding storage device and replacing the device with a
normal one is strongly recommended.
3. If the active storage device is in warning or fault state, an alarm message is
displayed on the upper left hand corner of the screen. After the user views the
alarm message on the
{Log} menu, however, the alarm message is deleted.
