General safety precautions
The specific safety precautions required for the individual
activities to be performed on the product are indicated in
the respective sections of these instructions.
2.5.1
Classification of hazard warnings
Hazard warnings warn you about dangers associated with
the operation of the product, and inform you of how to avoid
them. They are classified according to the severity of the
danger, and are divided into the following groups:
Warning types
DANGER
Describes an
imminent danger.
If it is not avoided,
death or very serious injuries will
result.
WARNING
Describes a
possible impending danger.
If it is not avoided
death or very serious injuries can
result.
CAUTION
Describes a
possible impending danger.
If it is not avoided,
slight or minor injuries can result.
NOTICE
Describes a
possibly dangerous situation.
If it is not avoided,
the product or something near it
can be damaged.
An information box provides
important
additional or supplementary information about
an activity or concept.
It also draws your attention to situations or
circumstances that can lead to measuring errors
or equipment malfunctions.
2.5.2
Electrical safety precautions
DANGER
When opening the product, there is a possibility of
coming into contact with live electrical components.
This may result in electric shock, burns or death.
In addition, opening the product will invalidate the
guarantee, warranty and liability of the manufacturer for
any resulting accidents, personal injury or equipment
damage.
Never open the housing.
Only the manufacturer is permitted to access the
inside of the product.
DANGER
Direct or indirect contact with live electrical components
will lead to a dangerous amount of electricity passing
through the human body.
This may result in electric shock, burns or death.
Work on the electrical system and live electrical
components is only to be performed by trained
specialists.
For power connection and all interface connections,
use only cables and connectors that comply with
applicable standards.
Avoid condensation.
Do not operate or repair the product if damaged.
Have the manufacturer exchange defective electrical
components immediately.
Regularly inspect all connected cables and all
connectors provided on the product. Defects, such
as loose connections or scorched cables, must be
removed immediately.
NOTICE
This product contains components
that can be destroyed by electro-
static discharge (ESD).
It is essential to observe the safety
precautions for handling ESD-sensiti-
ve components.
Never touch connector pins without
ensuring proper grounding.
