Give a name to the program.

Select each character by turning the dial and then
establish it by pressing the

DOWN

key. The established

character can be canceled by pressing the

UP

key. Up

to 8 characters may be entered for the name.

Store the scanning program.

After you have finished entering the name, press the

key. The display

will return to the PMS menu. Point the arrow at

END

and then press the

key (Alternatively, you may press the

key, and then press the

key

while

is shown on the display).

Note:

In naming the program, you can move 11 characters ahead by turning the

dial while holding down the

key.

3.3.2 Setting scan pass-frequency

This setting specifies frequencies to be passed in the scanning operation
regardless of signal presence. As many as 50 pass frequencies can be set in a
single program bank.

• To set pass frequencies

Press the

key to get the PMS mode. Then set the

program bank where pass frequencies are to be set.
Press the

key whenever the program stops on a

frequency you want to pass.

• To clear pass settings

Press the

key, and then press

the key

while

is

shown

on the display. This will display
the PASS EDIT display. Then

move the arrow to pass frequency settings you want to
clear, using the dial or the

UP/DOWN

keys, and press

the

key. The selected frequency will be disappear

from the display.

Press the

key to exit.
