Appendix A. CSS32 Coax Subsystem
The CSS32 Coax Subsystem is a separate platform that can be attached to the CCA-3074
to provide coax connectivity. The CSS32 comes preconfigured to support up to 31 coax
display or LMU sessions and one printer session. This appendix is intended to supply you
with sufficient information to attach and use the CSS32 using the factory configuration.
CSS32 Factory Configuration
The factory configuration of the CSS32 provides a single upstream communications link
to the CCA-3074 by means of a crossover Ethernet cable. The default IP address assigned
to the CSS32 is 200.200.200.2. To use this default address, you will need to configure
one of your Ethernet interfaces on the CCA-3074 to use the IP address of 200.200.200.1.
The diagram below shows the crossover cable connection when the Eth1 interface on the
CCA-3074 is used to provide the connection to the CSS32.
The factory configuration of the CSS32 defines coax ports 00-30 as display ports and port
31 as a printer port. Each display port is mapped to a TN3270E session directed to the
CCA-3074 (200.200.200.1) address. Each coax port (0-30) connects to a different socket
on the CCA-3074 using the range of 21100-21130.
