DS3 See Digital Signal Level 3 .
DSU See Data Service Unit (DSU) .
DTE See data terminal equipment
(DTE) .
DTR Data Terminal Ready. A control
signal sent from the data
terminal equipment (DTE) to the
data circuit- terminating
equipment (DCE) indicating the
DTE is ready to communicate.
Dual-line Shelf A Verilink dual-line shelf (DLS) unit
houses one or two plug-in
modules. Provides three buses and
several input and output jacks for
module interconnection.
