BRI

Basic rate interface. A type of ISDN

bursty-errored second (BES)

A second having between 2 and

319 CRC (cyclical redundancy

check) error events. See cyclic

An 8-bit quantity of information

used mainly in parallel data

transfer or data storage. Also

referred to as an octet.
