X - Execute
SYNTAX
X
Execute the command string.
DESCRIPTION
Commands sent to the Digital488/80A will result in no action until the unit is instructed to execute these commands.
This is done by issuing the Execute (
X
) command, usually as the last character of a command string. Commands sent
without an
X
are stored in an internal buffer and are not executed until an
X
is received.
Any number of Execute (
X
) commands may be inserted into the same command string. For example, if the Bit Set (
A
)
command is used more than once in a command string, then the
X
command must be used after each use of the
A
command.
