Subsequent adjustments in the dental office
If subsequent adjustments are required, this can be carried out with a microfilled restorative composite of the Heliomolar
®
group. For this purpose, microfilled composites are better suited than glass-filled composites.
Adjustments with Heliomolar
1. Roughen the area to be supplemented using a finishing diamond (80–100 microns) and carefully clean without water.
2. Apply Heliobond immediately after cleaning and disperse to a thin film with compressed air.
3. After that, apply Heliomolar and cure for 15 seconds with a polymerization light (e.g. bluephase
®
).
4. Build-up the missing areas generously with Heliomolar and cure for 15 seconds with a polymerization light (e.g.
bluephase).
5. After polymerization, remove excess using suitable finishers.
6. Polish with Astropol
®
or OptraPol
®
NG. Make sure to observe the individual polishing steps so that a smooth surface
with a high gloss can be achieved.
– Please read the corresponding Heliomolar Instructions for Use.
– Cleaning pastes that are used after oral hygiene measures must not be used on SR Adoro restorations, since
they roughen the surface and result in loss of gloss.
– Use SR Adoro Add-On only for small supplements, such as pontic rests and contact points.
– Do not use SR Adoro Add-On for surface-covering layers.
– Take note of the limited processing time of SR Adoro Add-On.
Subsequent Adjustments
Subsequent adjustments after final polymerization / tempering in the laboratory
If subsequent adjustments are necessary (after 25 min of polymerization / tempering), there are 2 options.
Version A:
Adjustments with SR Adoro Add-On
1. Roughen the areas to be supplemented with a tungsten carbide bur or carefully blast with Al
2
O
3
(80–100 microns) at
2 bar (29 psi) pressure. Sandblasting improves the mechanical bond. It roughens and thus substantially increases the
surface of the object.
2. Remove jet medium residue with oil-free compressed air after blasting.
3. Do not apply any connector or bonding liquids on the blasted surface.
4. Build-up the necessary supplements using SR Adoro Add-On materials immediately after sandblasting and precure
for 20 seconds per segment with the Quick.
5. Coat the entire veneer with SR Gel.
6. Place the restoration on the object holder.
7. Polymerize the restoration in the Lumamat 100 or Targis Power Upgrade using Program 2 (11 minutes).
8. After polymerization, remove SR Gel under running water.
9. Finish and polish the restoration as described before.
Version B:
Adjustments with SR Adoro Dentin and Incisal materials
4. Build-up the necessary supplements using SR Adoro Dentin and Incisal materials immediately after sandblasting
and precure for 20 seconds per segment with the Quick.
5. Coat the entire veneer with SR Gel and cover the exposed metal parts with SR Adoro Thermo Guard.
6. Place the restoration on the object holder.
7. Conduct final polymerization / tempering in the Lumamat 100 or Targis Power Upgrade using Program 3
(P3, 25 minutes).
8. After completion of the polymerization / tempering procedure, completely remove SR Adoro Thermo Guard from the
restoration using running water.
9. Finish and polish the restoration as described before.
