Practical Procedure

for Restorations with Gingiva Components

The shades of SR Adoro Gingiva are coordinated with those of the Ivoclar Vivadent Gingiva concept of IPS InLine,
IPS d.SIGN and IPS e.max Ceram. In this way, the shade design of true-to-nature gingiva components, particularly in
conjunction with implant superstructures, is possible according to the same method with all veneering systems.
Especially in implant prosthetics and in conjunction with metal-ceramic restorations, the use of SR Adoro permits an
efficient treatment concept. Given the polymerization in the Lumamat 100 light furnace, the shape and shade of the
gingiva components may be modified quickly and without any additional heat treatment.

Gingiva shade determination

Five Gingiva shades (G1–G5), 4 Intensive Gingiva materials (IG2–IG4), as well as one
SR Adoro Gingiva Opaquer (pink) are available for the design of the gingiva components.
For the individual determination of the gingiva shade / characteristics, a shade guide of
the various Gingiva materials is available.

Framework Design

Framework design criteria

The portion to be veneered with Gingiva material has to be included into the contouring of the framework. Make sure
that the transition between the framework and SR Adoro is not located on the contact surface to the mucous membrane.
Ideally, the contact surface is entirely designed in metal or in composite. Always ensure adequate hygiene capability.

Framework preparation for the metal-ceramic and the gingiva components

To provide additional support for the framework, the ceramic opaquer is applied on both the area of the veneer and the
gingiva components (Gingiva Opaquer).
The bond between the metal-ceramic surface and SR Adoro is generated with the help of a silane bond preceded by
surface conditioning.
The application of SR Adoro Gingiva on the ceramic surface consists of 3 steps.
