Procedure for Combination Dentures

In combined denture prosthetics, the composite veneer is the measure of choice. Depending on the type of polymeriza-
tion process, different working procedures apply. SR Adoro veneers can be fabricated in two different ways and can
therefore match every working procedure in the dental laboratory. Ivoclar Vivadent recommends Version A, as this method
prevents the denture saddle from being exposed to excessively high temperatures.

Variant A:
Veneering with SR Adoro

BEFORE

setting up and

completing the denture saddles

1. Fabricate the primary and secondary components (e.g.

telescope crowns)

2. Fabricate the model casting (transversal connector,

sublingual saddle bar)

3. Connect the secondary components with the model

casting by adhesive joining, soldering, or laser
technique.

4. Veneer the secondary components with SR Adoro.

5. Polymerize / temper, finish and polish the SR Adoro

veneer.

6. Mask the retentions of the model casting with

SR Adoro Gingiva Opaquer.

7. Set up and complete the denture with denture base

material (e.g. ProBase Cold).

Variant B:
Veneering with SR Adoro

AFTER

setting up and

completing the denture saddles

1. Fabricate the primary and secondary components

(e.g. telescope crowns)

2. Fabricate the model casting (transversal connector,

sublingual saddle bar)

3. Connect the secondary components with the model

casting by joining (adhesive joining), soldering, or laser
technique.

4. Mask the retentions of the model casting with

SR Adoro Gingiva Opaquer.

5. Set up and complete the combination denture.

6. Veneer the secondary components with SR Adoro.

7. Completely cover the denture saddles and teeth with

SR Adoro Thermo Guard because of the polymerization/
tempering temperature of 104 °C (219 °F). All resin
areas must be entirely covered
.

8. Polymerize / temper, finish and polish the SR Adoro

veneer.
