SR Vivodent PE shade guide (in conjunction with SR Vivodent PE, SR Orthotyp PE denture teeth)
Cervical, Dentin and Incisal layering
The individual SR Adoro pastes are layered in accordance with the layering diagram for the PE shade guide. Adapt the
first layer firmly (press into place) to ensure an effective bond between the composite and the opaquer surface and
precure each segment for 20 seconds using a Quick curing light. Apply Cervical material in a half-moon shape and
spread out to a thin layer using SR Modelling Instruments and synthetic brushes. The Cervical material is not covered
with Dentin.
After that, build up the Dentin material step by step and precure each segment for 20 seconds. Design the dentin core
in such a way that the mamelon shape remains outlined. Make sure that the marginal ridges in the dentin are
positioned slightly more to the back compared to the Chromascop layering method. After that, the restoration is
completed step by step using the corresponding Incisal materials. Subsequently, precure each individual layer for
20 seconds per segment using the Quick curing light.
The basic working procedure (contouring, casting, finishing, framework conditioning, opaquer application,
etc.) and the removal of the inhibited layer are carried out as described on page 31 for crowns and bridges.
