WB Impulse Noise Test
WB Impulse Noise Test
WB Impulse Noise test allows you to measure impulse noise on the circuit
under test. The test counter counts noise spikes above thresholds across a
wide frequency spectrum, providing a good picture of the rate of impulse
noise (hits) upon the circuit under test. Because the counter does not
identify the sources, use the impulse noise scope and impulse duration
and disruption test to capture and analyze them, and determine their
characteristics. The WB Impulse Noise test may be run over long time
periods to assess time of day challenges not experienced during repair
times.
WB Count
The Count function displays and updates results in real time, for the length
of time set in Test Duration or less if you stop the test. The last valid results
then remain displayed. The page also displays the Detection Level, Count,
Elapsed Time, and pass/fail status which is periodically refreshed, until
you stop the test.
To access WB Count page:
1. From the Copper main menu Test Groups, select Impulse test
.
2. From the Tests menu, select WB Impulse Noise to start the test.
By default, the WB Count page opens.
