If a tape which is repeatedly dubbed, or specially
copy-protected, or recorded with out -of-spec signals, is played
back, or any off-spec signal is input into the VIDEO IN jack, the
color system converter my malfunction and cause picture
deformation.

OUTPUT SYSTEM
(NTSC, PAL, SECAM, M-PAL, N-PAL)
Press the OUTPUT SYSTEM button
corresponding to the color system of your TV.
The Output System Indicator of the output system you
selected appears in the display window.

Z Start playback.
The VCR selects the color system of the tape
automatically, and converts it into the Output System
you selected in step 1.

If the picture has an abnormal color
Check the color system setting. See “ Setting the color
system” on page 25.
The picture may appear noisy or lack color for a few moment if
you playback a video on a different system from the output
system you selected.
