position the fiberglass wing fillets on the wing and fuselage and tr
ace their outline onto the fuselage

2.

ax paper or a plastic film (cut
from a plastic bag) o

er the top of the wing to protect
it from glue
.

ount the wing.
Use coarse sandpaper
to
thor
oughl
y
roughen the inside surf
ace of the wing
fillets where the
y contact the fuselage
.
3.
Without using an
y glue
, test fit one of the fillets to the
fuselage and wing.
Press the fillet to the fuselage
noting where pressure will be required to mak
e it fit
best when actually gluing it on.
Remo
ve
the fillet.

Apply a bead of medium CA all the w
a
y do
wn
the wing fillet appro
ximately 1/8" [3mm] from the top
edge
.
Apply another bead of medium CA do
wn the
middle
.
Do not apply an
y CA near the bottom of the
fillet so glue does not dr
ip out (although it w
ouldn’t be
a disaster as the wing is protected).

Rest the fillet on the wing about 1" [25mm] a
w
a
y
from the fuselage
.
Then, w

kly
, slide the
fillet up to the fuselage tightly holding it do
wn to the
wing and to the fuselage
.
Do not relie
v
e
pressure
until the CA hardens enough to securely hold the fillet it in place
.

Glue the other wing fillet to the fuselage the

y.

Remo
ve
the wing and place the fuselage upside-
do
wn in y
our b
uilding stand.
Apply medium CA to an
y
gaps betw
een the fillets and the fuselage sides
.
Mac
hine guns

1.
Cut out the molded plastic
mac
hine guns
first
b
y
cutting 1/8" [3mm] outside the molded-in cutlines
,
then b
y
cutting on the lines
.T
rue the edges with a bar
sander and 180-g
rit sandpaper
.
Smooth the edges
with 400-g
rit sandpaper
.
