If you do not position the tab at the home position, printed pages may have
vertical stripes.
4. Install the drum unit into the machine.
See the section "REPLACING THE DRUM UNIT" on page 104.
5. Close the top cover,
6. Plug in the power cord and turn on the power switch.
C) PACKING AND SHIPPING THE FAX MACHINE
Whenever you transport the fax machine, use the packing materials that are provided with your
machine. Follow the steps below to pack the fax machine or it may be damaged^ which
will void the fax machine’s warranty.
1. Turn off the power switch and unplug the machine from the AC outlet,
2. Open the top cover,
3. Remove the drum unit assembly. To remove the drum unit, please refer to the previous section
(See page 101.)
NOTE; Remove the drum unit and toner cartridge. Leave the toner cartridge installed in the
drum unit.
