Status Area
The status area displays information about the current batch. It shows the number of
documents that have been processed, the number of documents that have failed to
process correctly and the batch name. It should be read in conjunction with the
information given in the current batch area (described next).
Current Batch Area
The current batch area shows the name of the current batch and the number of
documents it contains.
Display Area
The display area contains two drop-down menu boxes. The first shows a list of
message levels, the second controls the display of processing on screen.
Message Level
The message level is controlled by the leftmost of the two drop-down boxes. It is set
to “Errors” by default. The message level determines which events are reported to
the message window:

Level Meaning
No messages
Messages are never displayed, no matter
how serious.
Fatal errors
Only errors that result in a batch not being
processed to completion are displayed.
Errors
Serious problems that nevertheless do not
stop processing are also displayed.
Warnings
Warning messages (such as non-standard
image-file formats) are also displayed.
Information
Messages such as image formats and read
results are also displayed.
Debug messages
Messages intended primarily for
debugging purposes are also displayed.
