Using Recognition
Introduction
This chapter describes how to use the Recognition module. Recognition may be used
to:
ƒ Automatically classify documents (that is, assign each document a type).
ƒ Extract information from each document, searching intelligently for
information where necessary.
ƒ Automatically separate pages into documents.
In normal operation, Recognition is designed to run unsupervised, so little user
interaction is required. It can, however, be useful to have extra control over the
module when setting up and debugging a new configuration.
Note This chapter describes the use of Recognition as a dedicated application. For
administrative information on running Recognition as a Windows service, please
refer to the Installation Guide (.pdf).
