Setting Up a Custom Protocol
Creating a custom protocol is similar to creating a default protocol.
To create a custom protocol
1. Choose New in the Protocols box on the Start Page or click New Protocol in the
toolbar. The Protocol Setup window appears.
2. Select an application from the Application dropdown menus.
The menus list all predefined applications you can run on the Gel Doc EZ
imager.
Note: If you want to image a gel using a detection reagent not listed in the
menus and do not find an equivalent reagent in the menus, contact Bio-
Rad Technical Support for protocol recommendations.
Choose Custom to run an existing application with a new name or when you
have an application unlike any existing applications. Selecting Custom >
Manage Custom Applications in the Application menu displays the Manage
Custom Applications dialog box. Custom applications you save are listed in this
dialog box. An Edit button enables you to make changes to custom
applications.
