9-SHANK WALKING BEAM
Position the wheel arm assemblies under the
frame as shown in Figure 2a-T and 2b-T. Note that
the inner wheel hubs are rearward of the machine
and the shorter end of the wheel arm pivot tube is
toward the outside of the machine.
Take the six bearings (7J627) and coat the inside
bearing surfaces with grease.
Center the rockshaft, with the link ears rearward,
on top of the frame directly above the wheel
arm assemblies as shown in Figure 2a-T. Place
a bearing (7J627) on each end of the rockshaft
above the 10 x 4 frame tube aligning them with the
appropriate set of holes.

Place a bearing (7J627) per wheel arm and
place one on each end of wheel arms pivot tube.
Position the assembly under the 10 x 4 frame
tube with the inner bearing in the inner most set
of holes. Verify that the rockshaft link ears line
up with the wheel arm link ears. Bolt this bearing
in place with 3/4-10NC x 6” capscrews, lock
washers and nuts. The other bearing should line
up with top bearing used for the rockshaft (3rd
set of holes). Bolt this bearing in place with 3/4-
10NC x 6-1/2” capscrews, lock washers and nuts.
