• Set the frame about 36” high on blocks or other
supports rated for 2,000 lbs. or higher. See
fi
gure 1.
• Bolt the two frame halves together using
3/4-10 NC
x 2-1/2”
capscrews, lockwashers, and nuts for
the two end plates. On the inner stub at the front
use 3/4-10 NC x 5-1/2” capscrews, lockwashers
and nuts with a plate provided in box assembly
#7J663. Also refer to frame page of repair parts
catalog.
• For 9 shank machines bolt the two coulter
support extensions (7J656) to the outer ends
of the front frame tube, and the two shank
extensions (7J655) to the outer ends of the rear
frame tube with
3/4-10 NC
x 2 1/2” capscrews,
lockwashers, and nuts.
• Make sure the shank mounting tubes on
extensions are at the same level as those on
main frame.
