The microphone icon keeps red during the process to signal active recording. Reclick
the microphone icon to stop recording. Now press To device to record the sound file
into the CU connected. Or, click Save to directory to store the sound file onto your PC
disk.
Recording Settings
Find the Recording settings to the right. Select the input device and microphone gain.
You can hide and show these advanced settings anytime if necessary. The first
parameter is Select source, which helps you select the recording input from a list of
available devices: select Microphone or Line input. The next parameter is Mic. level,
which defines the microphone input excitation indicator. The last parameter is Mic.
gain, which helps you set the input device gain.

settings.
Information
Basic
The Basic menu provides essential information on the state of the device connected:
CU firmware version and serial number and voice menu language. The Time parameter
specifies the current CU time value and has to be updated as it is not online read from
the device. The last parameter is Set time in device, which displays your PC real time
value by default. You can modify the time and time zone values and click Confirm
to upload these time settings to the CU connected.
Note
The only correct user message format is .WAV. No other files can be
recorded.
You cannot record a message until you select the input device in the
Recording settings.
Tip
Record your voice messages in a soundproof room with good acoustic
properties and using top-quality microphones to avoid poor-quality
records, noise and interference while recording.
Note
If the microphone input is overexcited during recording, decrease the Mic.
gain value. If underexcited, increase the Mic. gain value.
If the Mic. gain setting is insufficient, use the system drivers or an
external amplifier.
