CU
Central unit of system, usually common for several lifts in one building.
Splitter
Connects announcers with CU. Each lift shaft has its splitter.

Unit serving for voice communication with control centre or with other
unit of the system

DISA
automatic voice menu serving to route an incoming call to the required
announcer or for the activation of other functions, for example remote
programming
PBX
Private branch exchange (equipped with connection to PSTN and
analogue local lines)
PSTN
Public telephone network. For simplicity’s sake, in the text it is assumed
that the CU is connected to the PSTN but works the same as on the PBX
line.
