In the Graphic Inspector, choose a line style (or None) from the Stroke pop-up menu.

For tables, only a solid line or None is available.

To change the line thickness, type a value in the Stroke field (or click the arrows).

To change the line color, click the color well and select a color.

To give the line end points, such as arrowheads or circles, choose left and right end

points from the pop-up menus.

Note: The Insert menu and the Shapes pop-up menu (in the toolbar) include lines

with arrowheads.

You can set the position of lines and objects in the Metrics Inspector. See “Adjusting

Size and Position of Objects” on page 137.

Adding Shadows

Shadows give your page an appearance of depth. An object’s shadow appears on any

object behind it. You can create a variety of shadow effects, or remove the shadow

from an object.

Enter the line thickness
in this field.
Choose line end points
from these pop-up menus.

Choose a solid line, dotted
line, dashed line, or no line.

Click the color well to
choose a line color.
